The Karasuma Group (烏丸 グループ, Karasuma Gurūpu?) is a Conglomerate in Shinjuku, Japan that took an interest to the Miyano's Research and made an offer to hire Atsushi Miyano and Elena Miyano several years ago. Since Renya Karasuma is the Boss of the Black Organization, it can be assumed that the Karasuma Group, presumably founded by Renya Karasuma, is somehow linked to the Black Organization.
However, when Renya Karasuma was revealed as the Boss, Gosho Aoyama stated that the real name of the Black Organization and the name of its the Boss are not related to each other and do not give each other away. Thus, the Karasuma Group cannot be considered to be identical to the mysterious syndicate, nor can the name "Karasuma Group" be the real name of the Black Organization.
Background
Several years ago prior to the current timeline, the Karasuma Group offered to sponsor the Miyano's Research and hire Atsushi and Elena Miyano as Researchers of the Company. At first, Atsushi was reluctant to accept their offer after hearing strange and shady rumors surrounding the Organization. However, Atsushi had a change of mind and considered their offer after Elena announced that she was pregnant with Shiho Miyano.
Activities
Not much is known about the activities utilized by the Karasuma Group aside from sponsoring the Miyano's Research to further their interests. As the Conglomerate itself is rumored to be shady, the Karasuma Group is presumed to operate illegal activities similar to the Black Organization.
